BIM Management

BIM Management is specialist strand to our business which we have developed and honed through our involvement with very complex production facilities. It is not required by all clients but is something that we are increasingly offering.

We have been at the forefront in our adoption of BIM practice and have gradually migrated the business to being fully Revit compatible and have been gradually phasing out the use of 2D drawing packages to be only used when essential.

BIM tends to be defined under the narrow window of using 3D Revit software to design buildings. However, it does in fact cover the management of all project information. Whether the project is full ‘BIM’ or not, HPA use our expertise to proactively manage design information flow to ensure that the construction team have up to date information.

On the majority of projects, this will be done by use of a CDE (Common Data Environment) which is used for document storage, management, and circulation

Where a project is to be a full BIM project under ISO 19650 (previously PAS 1192), the following services will be undertaken:

• Issue Tracking and Management
• BIM Execution Plan (BEP) Authoring
• Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) Authoring
